My formative business education came in the late sixties and seventies, thirteen years with Nordstrom. They were just exploding on the national scene (in a recession), and were the talk of the retail industry because of the unique business model that had led to their incredible success. Eerily simple, it’s stayed with me since, and served me well:
Take very, very, very good care of the customer. All else follows.
That sounds almost trite now because everyone is good at saying it.
But it’s not in the saying; it’s in the execution.
What that means, short version: If you’re a buyer, my interest is in finding the home you want, not selling you something you almost want. If you’re a seller, my interest is in getting the very best price in the shortest amount of time, not one or the other.
Clearly there’s much more involved, and I invite you to visit my blog (here) for discussion, frequent updates on a changing market and answers to any real estate question you might have.
Many thanks for stopping by; please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help!
